filling in the gaps..

I haven't been able to choose 100 books yet...

The whole process of looking at my list of books that I own...

The stacks of books that I brought home (when the store that I worked at closed down last year) have been looming over me like a tree in a Dr Seuss picture.

Wow! That's a list! And I thought my 12 dangerous books were something!

B! I checked out your list just now and have found another book I should be adding to this list...
86. The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie!

Thank you, I can't believe I had forgotten about it...well...actually I can...that is the idea of writing these lists I suppose!

I'm Donna Woolfolk Cross, the author of "Pope Joan", and I'm delighted to see my novel on your list. I'm glad to learn that you found Joan's story as inspirational as I did. She was a "dangerous" woman in the best sense of the word!

You may not know that the movie based on my novel has recently finished filming. For "insider" news about it (I was on the set in both Germany and Morocco--fascinating!), go to popejoan.com and add your name to the "Update" list on the home page. You'll get an email from me about once a month (it's easy to unsubscribe if you decide you don't want to receive these).

Good luck filling out your list!

Wow! Donna Woolfolk Cross was HERE...

How could I not find this interesting...the story of a woman who's existence was denied for a thousand years...a woman who assumes the identity of her brother and enters a Benedictine monastery!

Well, after I finish reading Middlemay, you know what the next book I am going to read is!

Oi! I meant to write "Middlemarch" after reading Middlemarch...
